An actor, a friend , a companion a confidant, a co-star and a pioneer in this industry a true loss indeed. i am 30 years old and i have lived through the eyes and the artistry of ruby& ozzie, what examples of love and life they have set for me. ozzie made his mark in this world. for years i have watched him adored him and wished that i could have been graced with a parent or grandparent like him in my life. lets celebrate his life and the legacy of the man. cheers to "OZZIE" dearest RUBY my heart goes out to you and your family. you are a strong black woman and i know you will be fine. you are the other half of his life. live it to the fullest in memory of him! myiesha

Mr. Ozzie Davis and his wife Ruby set positive examples through their living, actions, speech and emotion for families and cultures here and around the world. Ozzie's words opened our minds forcing us to reflect on what we have gained and think on a deeper and more profounded level of understanding. Thank you for enriching my life and the lives of others.

Mr.Ozzie Davis was truly one of the Giants of the modern civil rights era. He risked his life, family, career, and income to walk with, stand with , and fight with the other fighters for the rights of people of African descent!!!

Mr. Davis was one of the greatest actors of all time. When you think of Ozzie Davis you think of Ruby Dee. Both of them were inseperable and my heart goes out to her. Their romance proved that love can survive in the acting world. Mr. Davis will be missed.
